Daily Devotionals

What Is Daily Devotional?

A daily devotional is your quiet time with God. It helps you to get to know God, His will, and purpose for you as a believer. Thus, you have to devote and sacrifice some time from your life to such a relationship. God has revealed Himself in the Bible that we can study Him. Therefore, by reading the Bible every day, you discover the beautiful character of the Triune God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

It says in the Bible that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God – (John1:1). Furthermore, it says, And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth – (John 1:14).

Thus, Jesus Christ, His ministry on earth and His written word in the Bible are an ultimate Shekinah Glory of God. Although the Scriptures were written by men, indeed, it is an infallible and divinely inspired Word of God.

And finally, daily devotional will reveal to the believer the seven-fold description of the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 11:2). So, the purpose of daily devotional for you as a Christian is to learn the fullness of God’s character, to teach other just as Jesus taught His disciple and to serve your Father who art in heaven.
