Blind people don’t decide to see. Jesus says, ‘See! and they see.
– John Piper
White lies. People turn a blind eye to this sin because it is described as harmless. But what the Bible says is the opposite. It is written, Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight (Proverbs 12:22). Furthermore, no sin, what colour it may be, is harmless. Sin destroys your soul and creates a gap between you and the Father.
Bible Reading

Blindness Comes in Different Forms
Luke 18:36-43 tells the story of a blind beggar healed by Jesus. The reason for his blindness was unknown. But there are lots of reasons why a person becomes blind. The first is physical blindness, brought about by diseases. We often forget that we live in a fallen world, and with it comes different forms of illnesses, and everyone is susceptible to it.
The second is spiritual blindness. This type is the most common yet the most denied kind of blindness. Once you are spiritually blind you cannot see the reality of sin. Yes, you might be able to distinguish some rights from wrongs. But it will never be clear for you. That is the reason people say evil good and good evil because they cannot differentiate between the two. Isaiah wrote Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20).
Confide To The One Who Can Treat Your Blindness
King Solomon said, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). He did not write this for the sake of writing it. The Holy Spirit influenced him to let the readers know that trust in the Lord is important. Why? Because unbelief is the root cause of our blindness. Most, if not all, sick people who came to Jesus for healing were healed because of their faith in Him, the Messiah.
Therefore, let us turn to Him, who can heal us. Let us not be blinded by unbelief. Rather, we humble ourselves and pour out our faith and trust in Jesus.

Reflection
This is the time for your journaling. Reflect on these questions. Ask the Holy Spirit to test your faith and your walk with Christ.
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? — 2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV.
