Scripture
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. — Galatians 2:20 KJV
Observation
We all deserve a capital punishment for transgression of God’s Law. “For the wages of sin is death ..” says in Romans 6:23. In the eyes of God, whose moral standards are perfect as well He is, we are criminals and have broken all the Commandments of God – “For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it” says in James 2:10. We all have lied, we all have stolen something even small of value, we all have commit murder and adulatory in the heard, we all at some point have lived our lives “worshiping” something other than God which is idolatry. And it is already five out of the Ten Commandments!
If you are a believer, you do realize that Jesus Christ is “ransom for many” Mark 10:45. We as Christians died with Him on that tree – “I have been crucified with Christ“. We live our lives, because of His living power and the Holy Spirit is indwelling in us, He give us faith and hope for every day – “It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God“. And we ought to live our lives with thanksgiving to God, present ourselves as a living scarifies for His glory and honor to Him “who loved me and gave himself for me.“
Application
This is the time for your journaling. Reflect on these questions. Ask the Holy Spirit to test your faith and your walk with Christ.
5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? — 2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV
- Have you followed Jesus Christ all the way to the cross?
- Have you been crucified with Him?
- How did your life changed after the death to sin?
- How is the Holy Spirit guiding you in you life?
- Do you live your life by the faith of Jesus Christ?
