Our high and privileged calling is to do the will of God in the power of God for the glory of God.
– J.J. Packer.
We know a lot of the best people in our life. Maybe you are even one of them. Best dad, best mom, best employee, etc. But who is your best God? Well, there is no other best God aside from the Triune God of the Bible. He, who created all we have on this earth. Skeptics may think He does not exist. However, I pray that it will not be too late for them to repent and believe in Jesus, who has saved them from the slavery of their sins. And that they will see the glory of our great God.
Bible Reading
Today’s devotional reading is from the Letter of Paul to Titus 2:13. Please, read our recent devotional from the Book of Joshua 1:8: Meditate On The Law, Day And Night
Our great and glorious God
All Christ believers are waiting for His second coming when we will fully see the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Additionally, this waiting was also seen in the Old Testament. Israelites have been promised a Messiah. God has sent His message through His prophets, that the Israelites will see His glory one day.
The prophet Jeremiah declares, There is none like You, O Lord; You are great, and great is Your name in might (Jeremiah 10:6). Moreover, King David proclaims, For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods (Psalm 96:4). Therefore, let this also be our profession all the days of our lives.
All greatness and gloriousness comes from Him
When you think you are good in what you do, praise God for that because all the goodness in you comes from Him. Saint Peter tells us each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace (1 Peter 4:10). This verse emphasizes that we are blessed with talents and gifts in God’s grace that we should use for the glory of our great God. Hence, when temptation strikes you to feel proud of all your accomplishments, kneel down and praise God in thanksgiving for all His goodness and greatness.
Reflection
This is the time for your journaling. Reflect on these questions. Ask the Holy Spirit to test your faith and your walk with Christ.
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? — 2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV.

Prayer
The heavens declare the glory of God and the earth unites with them in a magnificent chorus of worthy praise, to Your holy name. But there should be no greater proclamation of Your grace and glory, no more worthy declaration of Your wonder and praise, than the worship that falls from the lips of sinners, saved by grace, for You have redeemed us by Your blood and clothed us in You own garments of righteousness. You deserve our ceaseless praise and glory throughout time and into the eternal ages to come.
We praise and thank You for Your great and precious promises. That seedtime and harvest, day and night, summer and winter will never fail, for Your mercy endures forever. You make Your sun to rise on the wicked as well as those that are saved, and You send showers of refreshing rain on the unjust as well as the upright. But Lord, there is no greater testimony of Your loving-kindness and patient-endurance than the opportunity to be redeemed by the blood of Your only begotten Son. A gift of grace that You are extending to the world of fallen man. Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honour and power and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen.
