Once you become aware that the main business that you are here for is to know God, most life’s problems fall into place of their own accord.
– J.J. Packer.
I have witnessed firsthand how the young generations do not know and accept God’s sovereignty. Furthermore, they have denied the knowledge about the sacrifice that Jesus Christ has made to save us from our sins. The meaning of the cross does not exist in their minds. Therefore, the existence of the Holy Spirit for them is a fairytale. For this reason, they do not care for their bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit.
Bible Reading
Today’s devotional reading is from the Book of Proverbs 30:4. Please, read our recent devotional from the Book of Psalm 139:23-24: Have You Asked God To Search Your Heart?
The God we know is extraordinary!
The God we know is extraordinary as described in Proverbs 30:4. It is written in ESV commentary, that no mere human being has done these things, and that God is the “Holy One” (Proverbs 30:3) whose ways are high and exalted, infinitely greater than “the understanding of man” (Proverbs 30:2).
The last statement in this verse shows that we cannot deny who God is. We have our God-given conscience. And our conscience tells us that God exists. But when we create callus on our conscience with worldly thinking, it will not direct us to God. However, God knew our inclination to our flesh. As a result, He has left us a guide on how we can go back to Him. And that is the Holy Bible.
Do not keep quiet your knowledge about God
Before Jesus left His disciples, He had given them a command. And that is to spread His Gospel to all the nations of the earth (Mark 16:15-16). This charge is the Great Commission to Christ-followers. Hence, if you believe in Jesus Christ, do not keep quiet about this knowledge. We are instructed to share His saving grace with everyone you meet.
Your knowledge about God is like a lighthouse for others. Do not block the windows around the light, rather, clear the windows for others to see Christ in you.
Reflection
This is the time for your journaling. Reflect on these questions. Ask the Holy Spirit to test your faith and your walk with Christ.
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? — 2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV.
- Do you know that God exists?
- Do you believe in His Son Jesus Christ? Accept Jesus Now.
- Have you considered the way you cultivate your conscience?
- What are you doing with the temple of the Holy Spirit?
- How are you sharing the knowledge of Christ with others?
- Please watch. Hope you can get inspiration from this.

Prayer
Father, thank You for Your Word which is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path and thank You, Father, for the Lord Jesus Christ, the living Word made flesh, Who has life in Himself and is the light of the world in Whom is no darkness at all.
Lord, more than anything else, I desire to bathe in that light of the Lord Jesus so that the light of His love and grace may shine through me to others, especially at those times when the circumstances of life seem to be particularly gloomy and dark.
Father, You have called us to be lights in the world, reflecting the glory and light of Christ and I pray that I may become His reflection, so that men may see my good works and glorify my Father in heaven.
Lord, I know that this requires me to decrease to nothing so that He may increase in everything and become all in all. Father, I pray that whatever it takes, that You would purge out anything that diminishes the light and love of Christ in me so that Jesus is lifted up high in my heart and life, and may my self-life become so translucent and unclouded that Christ may be seen in me, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
