Undeniable poetic masterpiece of the Creator

God does not overlook sin. He cannot tolerate wilful transgression of His law. God’s moral standards is so perfect that He cannot ignore or condone evil deeds and thoughts of humanity. But God is Love. He understands the fallen nature of humanity and He wants to redeem His creation from ungodliness and unrighteousness. God wants to remove the sin and to restore the sinners. He wants to revive His creation and to bring to everlasting righteousness. However, God holds His wrath for those, who suppress the knowledge and the truth about God. He is angry with people who willingly ignorant and deliberately live ungodly and unrighteous lives. Every human being has basic knowledge of God. It is manifested in them through their senses and feelings which is called consciousness. God’s existence manifested in their own existence.

Scripture

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: — Romans 1:20 KJV

Observation

From the very beginning people should have seen the evidence of God’s existence and His workmanship in the wonderful universe which He created. The Sun, the Moon and stars also. Billions and billions of stars which the Sun is one of them. The Earth placed so perfectly that if it would be little closer to the Sun, it will burn. If it would be little further from the Sun, it will freeze. The Earth is the only planet which receives God’s love and attention. The unseen law of nature manifests God’s majesty and power – “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen“.

The things that are made” is one word in Greek. It means “poiema”. God has spoken His creation into existence. His poetic masterpiece reverberate in the physical creation and in spiritual lives of humanity. He wrote and performed by Himself the plan of redemption. The lives of men and women saved; their sins washed away by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ (For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. — Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV).

Our God is a mighty God. He is mighty to save. God’s love, mercy and grace revealed in “his eternal power and Godhead“. The beauty of His creation on Earth, the splendor of the Universe, and the power of unseen law of nature are so vivid and undeniable evidences of God’s not just mere existence, but His love and mercy for this fallen humanity. This is “being understood” by all people, “so that they are without excuse“, but to believe in Jesus Christ the Lord and the Savior.

Application

This is the time for your journaling. Reflect on these questions. Ask the Holy Spirit to test your faith and your walk with Christ.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? — 2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV
  1. Do you acknowledge God’s majesty and power in His creation?
  2. How does God’s work reveals in you?
  3. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior?
  4. If not, what is your excuse?

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, You are mighty and amazing God. You are author and sustainer of the whole Universe and even our lives. We thank You Lord, for beauty what You have created, we thank You, that You created us and gave us love. We thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ who redeemed us from the bondage of sin by shedding His innocent blood. We pray Lord, that people who living ungodly and unrighteous lives, who willingly ignorant of Your existence and love, will acknowledge You. We pray that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord! We pray that through the power the Holy Spirit You will use us, your servants, for the furtherance of Your Kingdom.

All these we pray in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen
