Do you know that it was His mercy that woke you up this morning? Because His judgement should have killed you last night.– Voddie Baucham
After a long hiatus, Christians 911 is back with daily devotionals. There has been a lot of changes over the past months not only in our lives but in society as well. One of which is the Woke culture. According to Wikipedia, this is a term that refers to awareness of issues that concern social and racial justice. You might hear this frequently on social media and other news outlets. Furthermore, social and racial awareness is used by people to shout for rights and justice. They have forgotten the basic instructions of the scriptures, which teach how to respect one another, not basing on any colour or race. After all, there is only one race – the human race.
Today’s devotional reading is from the Book of Revelation 3:2. Please, read our recent devotional from the Letter of Paul to Titus 2:13: The Glory Of Our Great God
Be awake than woke
A person once told me that Revelation is a scare tactic used by the church to align its members. Honestly, before I was saved I felt the same way. However, as I study the book of Revelation, it does not only show what lies ahead for the wicked. But also the fulfillment of God’s promise to those who are faithful. The book gives us a warning call to continue walking with Christ until His second coming.
Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, is a verse that encourages us to be awake and aware in a culture that does not acknowledge the Father, Savior and Holy Spirit. Moreover, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God, reminds us that we have a purpose to fulfill until Christ’s return. Therefore, do not let this world divert your attention from what God wants us to do. Further, be awake and vigilant of the lies they feed you every day. Ask for the Holy Spirit to help you discern every information you receive.
This is the time for your journaling. Reflect on these questions. Ask the Holy Spirit to test your faith and your walk with Christ.
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? — 2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV.

Lord, thank You for the people You have divinely placed in my life who speak holy truth, love, and words of wisdom. Give me a heart of discernment to know when You are using someone to speak instruction into my heart and my circumstances and give me the strength and courage to follow through with that advice, even when it’s hard. Fill me with peace in knowing that even if I take a wrong turn, Your purpose will prevail. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
