When I was a kid, I wanted to be a teacher and live in a convent as a nun. Those were my plans. However, God had a different plan for me. Which I can say was far better than what I had in mind. I did not turn out to be a teacher but a nurse. Additionally, I am now a wife and not single. I am living a blessed life. God’s plan for us is always better and for our good. All we have to do is seek His will, listen and obey.

Prophecies Of The End Times
In verse 6, the apostles were eager to know when the kingdom that Jesus was talking about in His ministry is going to reign. This showed that they still had the mindset of an earthly kingdom. Jesus answered them patiently, It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority (Acts 1:7).
Jesus’ answer can be traced back to the foundational truth, that God the Father is the creator of the world and His plans are sovereign overall. Furthermore, Isaiah compared God to us when he wrote, For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord (Isaiah 55:8)
Focal Point Is The Preparation
Our Father has lots of plans for His creation and all of which is for our good. No matter how hard we try we will never know His plan for we are mere finite beings with limited intellectual capacity. So what can we do then? Prepare ourselves for whatever He brings into our life.
Let us start with the confession of our sins and living a repentant life. Further, we should also accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. Once we do these things we will have the Holy Spirit that will change us and make us new creatures (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Reflection
This is the time for your journaling. Reflect on these questions. Ask the Holy Spirit to test your faith and your walk with Christ.
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? — 2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV

Prayer
Our Father, who is in heaven, holy is your name. Thank you for the Holy Spirit that renewed us and directs us as we walk our lives in obedience to your word.
O Lord, Jesus Christ, thank you for the gift of salvation and for the opportunity to have eternal life with the Father. May we prepare our hearts and spirits to be ready when You come again.
We pray these in Your mighty name. Amen.
